What is PiP?
Every school in Scotland has a parent council and ours is called Parents in Partnership (PiP). If you have a child at Currie CHS, you are automatically part of the parent forum. PiP is the group that represents the forum and works in partnership with the school.
The PiP's role
In short, our role is to:
-
Work with the school on priorities, policies, and improvements.
-
Represent the voice of parents to the school, local authority, and inspectors.
-
Share information and gather views from parents and carers (see useful info for parents and carers and parent priorities).
-
Contribute to key processes such as headteacher recruitment, consultations, inspections, and improvement planning.
-
Organise and support school community events (see events).
-
Fundraise and apply for grants to benefit pupils and families (see funding).

You can read more about parent councils on About Parent Councils | Education Scotland and in the Parent Council Resource.
